Pod igoto as a “sacred text” When searching for a “sacred text” within the corpus of Bulgarian literature, one easily comes to Vazov’s epic Pod igoto. It is most probabaly a 7-grade student 13 year-old because this is the first time when we read the novel in Bulgaria. When I opened the package I was so exited to hold in my hand something that I treasured so much.
